BARCELONA,
MORE THAN JUST A CITY!!
Barcelona, the capital city of Catalonia, situated in the northeast of the country on the Mediterranean coast, is undoubtedly the most cosmopolitan and economically active city in Spain.
Permanently advocating its desire to be modern, to follow the latest international trends or to be at the head of the same.
Barcelona has been an extremely important centre of modernism, standing out above all due to the works of Antoni Gaudí, who, together with other fine contemporary artists, has given the city a new and exciting look which has placed it at the forefront of modernism.
All this is evident, particularly if we observe the architecture, which so perfectly reflects the way of approaching the life that always drives the “Ciudad Condal”.
Two languages are spoken in Barcelona: Catalan, spoken throughout the province of Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and the Valencian Community, and Spanish. Barcelona has a population of 1,619,337 inhabitants and the greater metropolitan area is home to 5,029,181 people.
The city offers a vast array of activities: water and amusement parks, museums, tourist attractions, art galleries, monuments, and shows, all of which can be booked through TakeBall Sports Management. We regard parents as the ideal companions for our young participants, reason for which our tour includes exciting parallel activities if they so wish.
Barcelona provides the opportunity of visiting one of the most famous soccer clubs in the world, FC Barcelona, and you can also watch games at the Camp Nou or RCD Espanyol´s stadium, Cornellà – El Prat.
